Air conditioning specified for Far North Queensland
Installation, repair and servicing across Cairns and south toward the Cassowary Coast.
Why the install matters more than the brand
Most of the difference between an air conditioner that works well here and one that disappoints is decided before anything is unboxed. Sizing, where the outdoor unit goes, how it is fixed, how the pipe is run and whether the drain actually falls. Those are install decisions, and no brand compensates for getting them wrong.
What this climate does differently
Three things. Humidity means most of the year the job is removing moisture rather than dropping temperature, and an oversized unit short cycles and never dehumidifies. Wind means this is a cyclone region and the bracket detail on an outdoor unit is structural, not cosmetic. Salt means that within a few kilometres of the water, coil corrosion decides whether a condenser lasts fifteen years or five.
What we will not do
We will not quote a unit larger than the room needs because it sounds safer. We will not fix a generic bracket into fibro and call it done. And we will not regas a system without finding out where the gas went, because a sealed system does not consume refrigerant, so if it is low it leaked and it will leak again.
What we will tell you
When a unit is worth repairing rather than replacing, even though the replacement is the bigger job for us. When the number of heads you have in mind will not run off one outdoor unit. And when the wall you want a head on has no sensible pipe route, which is better heard at quote stage than on install day.
